SurveyUSA’s October 2022 poll of 550 Idaho adults offers a detailed look at public opinion on marijuana laws in the state.

In October 2022, SurveyUSA interviewed 550 Idahoans on marijuana-related issues and found broad support for medical legalization. Sixty-eight percent of Idahoans surveyed said marijuana should be legal for medical use, with support spanning demographic groups. Additionally, insights on Idahoans’ opinions of recreational use and thoughts on jail time for possession were captured, and the results may surprise you. While these results don’t indicate policy shifts, they do offer a snapshot of how Idahoans view Idaho’s marijuana laws and where public sentiment may differ from current state policy.
